Jessica Marie, PhD is the owner of The Kiz Lab. She specializes in Urban Kiz with over eight years of experience. Known for her precision, inclusivity, ability to teach beginners, and technical expertise, she makes even the most complex dance moves and musical rhythms easy to understand and apply right away. Her teaching style is deeply influenced by her background in psychology and her commitment to empowering dancers at every stage of their journey.

As the founder of The Kiz Lab, Jessica has built one of the most respected and inclusive Urban Kiz programs in the United States. She has mentored four instructors across multiple states, helping them create local programs, classes, and weekend dance events. She has also coached award-winning students while leading small-group intensives, progressive series, and instructor development programs. In addition, Jessica has led multiple Taxi Teams representing The Kiz Lab at more than 32 events.

Certified by Laurent “Yìshù” Fidelin and Jovan “Casanova”, Jessica has been booked to teach at major festivals and in cities across the U.S. and Spain, including Hello Kizomba, SF SBK, NOVA, and the Queer Afro Latin Dance Festival. Today, she co-leads The Kiz Lab with her official dance partner, Ini, a five-time dance champion, continuing to inspire and grow the Urban Kiz community both locally and worldwide.
